The Sydney Convicts Rugby Club is gearing up for our biggest challenge yet. This August, our entire squad of over 100 players and support staff will head north to Brisbane to compete in Bingham Cup 2026—the world championship of inclusive and gay rugby.
Founded in 2004 on the belief that rugby is for everyone, the Convicts have grown into an internationally recognized symbol of what sport can achieve when it genuinely reflects and embraces its community. But getting a squad of this size to the world stage takes a village. We are looking for values-led business partners, corporate sponsors, and community donors to help us cover the costs of our tour and participation.
Partnering with us is more than just commercial visibility; it is an authentic alignment with Australia’s first and most successful gay and inclusive rugby club.
Here is how your business can get involved and secure your spot on the #RoadToBingham26.
1. Bingham Training Shirt Sponsors
Gain exposure to a passionate international audience, thousands of players and spectators, and a loyal local community of professionals, allies, and LGBTQIA+ leaders. Spaces at both tiers are strictly limited to ensure strong brand visibility.
- Gold Partner — $3,000
- All Shirt Sponsors Benefit From:
2. Raffle & Auction Prize Donations
If a financial sponsorship tier isn't the right fit for your business, you can still make a massive impact. We run major fundraising events throughout the year and are actively seeking donated items, experiences, and prizes for our upcoming raffles, auctions, and event giveaways.
What we are looking for:
Every single donation directly helps lower the travel and tournament costs for our players, ensuring financial barriers don't keep talent at home.
Want to donate an item? It’s that simple. Get in touch with our events team at events@sydneyconvicts.org to arrange a convenient drop-off, pick-up, or delivery.
Thank you for your ongoing support of inclusion, diversity, and community through sport. Let’s bring the Bingham Cup back to Sydney together!
