Interested in playing with the Convicts in 2012?
The Sydney Convicts are always accepting new players, but we’re especially keen for some fresh blood in 2012! Whether you’re a seasoned rugby player or completely new to the game we’d love to have you join the team.

Get involved!

Our training for the 2012 season will start in January, with games starting in March. If you’re new, why not come along to a training session? It’s a great opportunity to meet the other team members, the coaches and find out more about the club.

Sunday touch is another great way to meet the guys and get a feel for the game, especially if you’re new to rugby. We play touch nearly every Sunday from 5pm at Centennial Park. The Facebook page listed above is the best place to find out if there’s a game on and directions for how to get there.

In late February we’ll hold our annual open day for new players, a fun and relaxed afternoon to run some drills with the boys and practice basic rugby skills. Keep an eye on the Facebook page or email sydneyconvicts@sydneyconvicts.org for more information.

What to bring?

If you’re just starting out, runners, shorts and a t-shirt will be fine. Once the season starts and we get into serious training, then we can help you out with where to buy boots, mouthguards and other rugby gear.
